Martha has 20 years of experience in senior Director level roles including a period as a CEO. She has been running her own successful businesses since 2007.She has led organisations and senior teams through significant change and growth. Her experience spans local to global organisations, front line service delivery to national policy and consultation.
She is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development, and a member of the Association for Coaching. She has a range of qualifications including an MSc in HRM, two Diplomas in Coaching and a BSc in Social Science. She is an accredited NLP Practitioner, and accredited to undertake DISC psychometric profiling. Her research for her MSc was a qualitative examination of the impact of Coaching on women in senior roles, and she is a qualified Executive and Personal Performance Coach. She is also a qualified accredited Mediator.
Through Martha Simpson Coaching and Harvey McMillan Associates she has engaged in transformational coaching of a significant number of Leaders, and has led and delivered Leadership Development across a range of sectors and organisations.
Her decision to set up Harvey McMillan in 2010 was a natural progression from her focus on developing leaders through her coaching business, to developing leadership teams. The importance of high trust in relationships and transformational learning drives her view that Sheep Dipping is not appropriate for leadership dvelopment.
She has developed a team of hand picked Associates who bring complementary skills and experience to Harvey McMillan.
